This past summer was one of the most incredible of my life. I was at last selected to be on the garden tour in my city. What this means is that my gardens were worthy of having garden lovers from all over come to see what I had done with my yard. It is a very prestigious thing for me and I have been trying for the past five years.
From the time I was a child, I have been fascinated with flowers and gardens. I had a garden on my balcony when I was going to college and I knew that when I bought my first home, it would matter far more what garden features the home contained than what the house itself looked like.
My house had lovely gardens when I moved here and I have been spending the last ten years trying to better them. I have so many different kinds of flowers and I have had so many great comments on them. The day that I found out that I made the garden tour was better than my birthday or Christmas and I could not wait to get my first garden visitor.
