Helping with the New Baby

I belong to a parents group that helps one another out.  You see, part of the problem for us new parents is that we just really don’t know what we are doing and it helps to have a support group to ask others who have been where we have.

The other thing that we do is help each other out when we have a new baby.  This can include such things as babysitting the other kids while they are at the hospital, and bringing food to them when they get home so they don’t have to cook the meal themselves.

I know that when they pitched in to help us with our last child it made all the difference in the world.  We were really tired and the help that we received made the process of returning home from the hospital a little easier.

So, we are going to take a meal to some members of the group tonight who are just coming home from the hospital.  I hope they like lasagne.

Favorite College Class

It seems like it has been years since I attended college, but from time to time I am reminded of my good days there.  You see, while I was cleaning out my closet today to make room for more stuff (okay, more like junk), I came across a box full of notes from my college marketing class.

In fact, all of the marketing classes I took throughout my years there were fun.  For example, the first class that I took, our term project was to come up with a commercial for any product that we desired.

What did we pick?

Bologna.

Yes, it was definitely and experience.  But that being said, the marks that we received in the class were very high, and it was a lot of fun.  Sometimes I consider going back to do my masters in marketing, but sadly life has been too busy.  Maybe it will be something that I will pursue later on in life, when things slow down.
