Training an older dog is a challenge. You need plenty of patience for it. Most dogs are given training in the first few months of their life which remains with them all through the life. According to the doctors, the experience of dogs between three and twelve weeks is the most important.
However, but I adopted an older dog. So it really became difficult for me to provide training to her. Although there are chances of the previous owner to provide some training but in my case, the older dog was not trained at all. But the fact was that the Alsatian was quite intelligent. And so it was a benefit for me. It was from my friend that I came to know about the site of Dog Obedience Learning. In this site there was specific guidance intended for training older dogs. It was of great help to me. I didn’t anyhow try to change the behavior of the dog but tried to teach new behavior. It was much easier.
