Choosing a broadband connection that fits your bill

I am a schoolteacher based in a suburban city near Kolkata. Apart from my study materials I need to surf the net and download documents from it for my PH.D. Besides, I am an avid animal lover and a member of PETA. Therefore, I need to make contact with people who are involved with animal’s issues. For the last few months I was wondering whether I should take up an Internet connection. My friends advised that I should go for a broadband Internet connection. The dial up connection would not suffice for my download needs anyway. But I was confused about what broadband connection to take. There was the state based BSNL and some private operators as well.

One of my colleagues told me to see the online forums related to Internet connections. I searched the web and got a useful broadband information forum named indiabroadband.net. After reading the reviews of various broadband service providers I picked reliance broadband service. Its online speed select feature is innovative. The ‘per minute charge’ is also suitable for my budget. The best part is that it runs on my 5 year old PII PC without any hiccups.
