Corbro comes in two different thicknesses, C1 and C2. C1 is of 31 mm thickness while C2 is of 52 mm thickness. I’d been digging footer holes for our new deck for hours. The wife was inside watching the local weather radar for when the storm would hit. I had to finish and get those holes well-covered for the inspector. If they were wet when he inspected, we couldn’t pour the concrete until they dried completely. As it turned out, I finished covering the last hole 15 minutes before the rains came. Talk about perfect timing.

When the wood had cured, it was time to choose which of the deck stains to use. I wanted a goldish one, but the wife said it would look dirty diaper brown, so we went with a dark color and it was really a good choice. I have to say, of all the wood decks in our neighborhood, our was the best looking. Man, I’m good!

It seems that every spring when we clean our house, we always come up with a pile of stuff that we don’t use anymore.  We give some of it away, and save the rest to have a garage sale.

Some of the items that have turned up to be sold at our garage sale include some wall tents that we used to use we went camping, children’s toys that are kids no longer play with and clothes that no longer fit our children.  We feel that selling these items at the garage sale is a great way to recoup some of the money that we had spent on these items and helps fund the family vacation we take each summer.

We also make sure to donate some of those items to the less fortunate so that they can have a better lifestyle as well.  That is the least we can do.
